     Ifesowopo Landlord Association (ILA) at Olowora community, Kosofe, Lagos recently had its first monthly Community Development Association(CDA) meeting for the new year on the 30th of January, 2021.

Captain Giwa Adisa (Rtd), chairman of Ifesowopo Landlord Association welcomes everyone with happy new year greetings and pray that the new year brings good tidings to all.

Mr Shina Olowofewa, secretary to the association reads the minutes of the last meeting alongside important matter arising for the day that includes whistle blowing activity by landlords and payment of security dues by debtors. 


Captain Giwa Adisa (Rtd), chairman of the association took over the microphone to plead to all landlords to be more vigilant during the dead of the night in order to curtail petty armed robbery that has been occasionally happening in the area. 


Speaking further, he said that for this act of vigilant to be effective, each landlord should get a whistle and blow it when they noticed a strange movement around their environment in order to alert the security men in the community. 


However, the chairman advised the security men that guards the community to always stay at alert and call the nearby Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for their help when there is a serious threat from the men under the world in the area. 


Also, the chairman encouraged all landlords to be their brother's keeper towards the progress and unity of the community. 


Mr Leke Adesemowo, treasurer to the association brings up the payment and non-payment of security dues by debtors. 


He thanked all who are prompt payers of their security levy and pleaded to those who have not been paying regularly to do so in order to continually pay the bills of those that secures the community. 


The meeting was motioned and seconded with a closing remarks by the chairman and a closing prayer by one of the landlords, Mr Atiba.
