MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORT

In Olowora community,there is no better way to explain a motorcycle transport by the people other than a quick service means of transportation.
It is a quick service transport system because it enable or convey people to their various destinations quite on time base on the fastness and flexibility it provides.

Another name for motorcycle is otherwise known as Okada. A name that was borrowed from Okada air, a Nigerian local airline now defunct.
Daily in Olowora community, different people like the businessmen, women, government workers, students and career personnel are seen motorcycling to one destination or the other.
All in a bid to avoid any traffic congestion on their way and to be able to navigate different roads that are inaccessible by cars and busses.

These was in a confirmation in an interview with a motorbiker, Asuquo. He said that "As a user of motorbike, it helps me to get to my destination on time when there is a serious traffic and I like the fact that they can maneuver so easily".
Also in another interview with a motorcycle rider, Abu. He said that "Okada transport don dey good to me for the past two years, I dey happy say I dey do ham, inside ham, I don marry and I don get one pikin".
Moreover, there is dignity in labour as long as you are not a thief, armed robber, hired assassin, yahoo boy, or involving yourself in any activity that will tarnish your reputation or image.

In conclusion, motorcycle transport in Olowora community can however be a good business opportunity for the jobless youth in the community as a means of income generation and earnings.
And government on the other hand should come to our aid for some of our youth who have an intention of doing the business but don't have the means to buy a motorcycle.
These can be done through an empowerment programme for them.
